Contact form

If you write to us through the contact form, we process the details you provide (name, company, email address, phone number, project information) solely in order to answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. Transmission runs through the service Web3Forms, which forwards the message to our mailbox. We keep enquiries for as long as needed to process them and handle any follow-up questions.

Server log files

When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically records technical access data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type). This data serves secure operation and is not combined with other sources.

Typefaces

The typefaces "Archivo" and "Inter" are served from our own server. Loading this website therefore opens no connection to Google Fonts or to any other font service.

Map (OpenStreetMap)

The "About us" and "Contact" pages show a map of our location. The map imagery comes from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom). Map tiles are fetched as soon as you scroll the map into view, which transmits your IP address to OpenStreetMap. We embed the map without cookies and without tracking scripts, and we use no Google Maps services. OpenStreetMap is a non-profit that does not build user profiles; see osmfoundation.org for its own notice. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing you the way to our yard (Art. 31(1) FADP).

Address suggestions in the price calculator

When you type a project address into the price calculator, we look up matching street names at the Swiss federal geodata service (swisstopo, api3.geo.admin.ch). This transmits the text you entered, the postcode and your IP address to that service. The lookup only runs from the third character onwards and only once a postcode is present. The field works without the suggestions; you can always type the address yourself.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies for analytics or marketing purposes and embeds no tracking services.

One exception, and not a cookie: the price calculator is limited to two enquiries per day. For that your browser keeps the date, a counter and a checksum of the email address used (localStorage, key mkv-calc-quota). The email address itself is not stored. None of this leaves your device or reaches us, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Also not a cookie: the home page plays the logo animation full screen once per session. So that it does not repeat on every page view, your browser notes this in sessionStorage under mkv-intro. The entry holds nothing but "already seen" and is discarded as soon as you close the tab.

General terms and conditions

These conditions apply to all contracts for scaffolding services by MK Vektor Gerüsttechnik GmbH.

This English text is an informational translation. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version on rechtliches.html prevails.

1. Scope

These general terms and conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts between MK Vektor Gerüsttechnik GmbH, Sägeweg 17, 4304 Giebenach (hereinafter “MK Vektor”), and its customers. Deviating terms of the customer are not accepted unless MK Vektor has expressly agreed to them in writing.

2. Offers and conclusion of contract

All offers by MK Vektor are non-binding unless expressly designated as binding. A contract comes into effect only once MK Vektor issues a written order confirmation or begins performing the work. Price overviews produced by the online calculator are non-binding and serve as guidance only.

3. Scope of services

The scope of services follows from the written order confirmation. Amendments and additions require written confirmation by MK Vektor. Additional work instructed by the customer or arising from unforeseen circumstances is invoiced separately.

4. Prices and payment terms

Agreed prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) excluding VAT unless expressly stated otherwise. Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date without deduction. In the event of late payment, default interest of 5 % p. a. and a reminder fee of CHF 20 per reminder are charged.

5. Execution of the work

MK Vektor carries out all work in accordance with the applicable standards and regulations, in particular the SUVA guidelines for scaffolding. The customer ensures that the necessary access and working conditions are available on site. Delays caused by the customer are at the customer's expense.

6. Hire period

The agreed scaffold hire period begins on the date of erection. Any overrun of the agreed period is invoiced at the daily rates then in force. The scaffold remains the property of MK Vektor and may not be altered or used for other purposes by the customer.

7. Liability

MK Vektor is liable for damage caused by demonstrable gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Any liability for slight negligence and for indirect damage, consequential damage or loss of profit is excluded. Liability is in every case limited to the value of the order.

8. Acceptance and notice of defects

On completion of the work the customer shall inspect the scaffold without delay. Defects must be notified in writing immediately. Defects not notified are deemed approved. MK Vektor has the right to remedy notified defects within a reasonable period.

9. Retention of title

All delivered and erected materials remain the property of MK Vektor until payment has been made in full.

10. Data protection

MK Vektor treats personal data confidentially and in accordance with the provisions of the Swiss Data Protection Act (FADP). Data is used exclusively for performing the contract and is not passed on to third parties.

11. Place of jurisdiction and applicable law

These GTC and all disputes arising from the contractual relationship are governed exclusively by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Liestal, canton of Basel-Landschaft.

12. Severability

Should individual provisions of these GTC be invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions is not affected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to the economic purpose of the original.
